This is not just a Fake Push Notification issue, its a notification issue in
general.
I received a push notification from Beejive while in another application and
the home
button became unresponsive. It also happened when I received a mail
notification and
used "You've Got Mail" to view the message while playing a game.
This occurred on an iPhone 3G running OS 3.0.

I as well experienced this issue. Opening apps by clicking on the notifications
makes the home button
unresponsive when trying to exit said applications. My workaround is to hold
the home and power buttons to get
the slide to power down screen. After this the home button is responsive again.

Look like it's because when dismissing that GriP message the system still
thinks a Push notification is showing.
When a Push notification is shown the home button does nothing.

Sorry, i don´t think it´s fixed. Quitting applications with home is still a
problem
with version "o" (very slow, or not working). Iphone 3G, 3.0.

@6 and others:
Please check if the attached replacement works. (Replace the one in
/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/
with this one.)

This new dylib fixed an issue i was having where the springboard would crash
and goto
safe mode after receiving the 2nd push notification without any interaction
with the
grip notice. Device this was experienced on is a 3.0 3Gs

That is great! I had to uninstall GriP because of the crashes issues. So
kennyTM can
repack it and make it available on downloads, i guess.

@8 kenny: the new dylib doesn't work. The bug still exists. I replaced it in
/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/ and then respring SpringBoard, but
the
Home button is still unresponsive if I tap on the notification to open the app.

Hi I have big problems with grip. Really often it doesn't work. When it works
my
Iphone crashes everytime after the 3rd notification and then on and on. With
the new
dylib no notifications arrive through grip...
