What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.when trying to connect to my iphone 3G running OS.4.0
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

It seems like the iphone is not detected by the iphodroid software , it keep on
saying the same error no matter what .

I confirm this. The software doesn't detect my iPhone 3G with iOS 4.0 .

I'm windows xp SP3, with the latest iTunes (10.0.0.68)

Same here I keep getting "error on extration procedure . try again"
Using 3G OS 3,1,3 on XP SP3, jailbroken with jailbreakMe.
On Mac OS went all the way to openiboot and the itune detected the recovery
mode, gave me an error message and the installation stopped.

Any idea?

Okay, try this.

With your iPhone turned on, activate your SSH.
Now try "shooting".

I THINK YOU NEED TO INSTALL OPENSSH FROM CYDIA AND THEN IT WILL WORK! I WAS
HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM EARLIER AND THEN I REALIZED THAT I DON'T HAVE OPENSSH xD

iPhone 3G, 4.0.1, SSH installed, tried on two different computers. Both Windows
XP, iPhodroid 0.6 R13h. (could anyone give me a direct link to iPhodroid 1.0
for Windows)

now it extracts touch drivers, transfers cache, and (i think) system files, but
then it just crashes leaving my phone in recovery mode.

i ran iphodroid.exe from c:/iphodoid, still getting the same error message. i
am running OS 3.0. I have tried on win 7 (in administrator mode) as well as win
xp mode from inside win 7.

i am running this with my iphone plugged in and running normally (not in any
recovery mode).
