Team's Response

This command is found under the add command for Suppliers: Screenshot 2024-04-21 at 11.59.16 PM.png Input command : add n/Fiona Kunz p/94824272 e/lydia@example.com a/little tokyo role/Supplier tos/Delivery within 2 weeks prod/Office Supplies prod/Furniture

The error experienced by the user could be due to the copying and pasting of commands that span multiple lines as the space characters surrounding line-breaks may be omitted when copied over to the application, which is mentioned in the UG: Screenshot 2024-04-22 at 12.03.05 AM.png

The 'Original' Bug

[The team marked this bug as a duplicate of the following bug]

Add command shows error even when i use the example from the UG

I am using the example command provided in the UG.

Expected: A success message

image.png

Actual: An error message even though this was the prefix provided in the UG (Invalid prefix has been detected.) I am not even told what is the incorrect prefix so I don't know where i went wrong

Their Response to the 'Original' Bug

[This is the team's response to the above 'original' bug]

Actual (Copy directly from UG in NetConnect website): "add n/Benson Mayer p/87728933 e/mayerb@example.com a/311, Clementi Ave 2, #02-25 role/Client pref/Dairy-free prod/Sourdough bread prod/Raisin Bread"

What tester execute: "add n/Benson Mayer p/87728933 e/mayerb@example.com a/311, Clementi Ave 2, #02-25 role/Client pref/Dairy-freeprod/Sourdough bread prod/Raisin Bread"

This happen because, when the tester copy the command from the UG pdf file, the space between Dairy-free and prod has never been taken. This is page size of the PDF file. As can be seen from the attached image from the NetConnect website, the newline works fine and does not cause any problem when copying the command and paste to NetConnect application.
