Install Z-wave based sprinkler timer

Tasks to deploy

1. [x] Verify current sprinkler control is functioning.
2. [ ] Review the behavior and experience of sprinkler system at our home using Hunter
3. [ ] Understand ospi user manual.

Options:

• opensprinkler: $150 designated board
• opensprinkler-pi: Extension board to RPi 2 or 3.
  • Raspberry PI 3 Model B, which comes with wifi module on board.

Concerns:

• Temperature requirement for whatever the board. The codes are in one of the garage shelves so it gets easily very warm in Summer (don't know exactly how high the temp gets)
  • RPi board seems to be fine up to 70C.

Looks like I went with OpenSprinkler Pi back in 2017 but have never integrated. Whether OSPi can be integrated with HASS is a question. There's a lengthy thread with no clear answer https://community.home-assistant.io/t/integrate-with-opensprinkler/18142/3

Thinking to use RPi2 https://github.com/kinu-garage/hut_10sqft/issues/408 that I haven't used for a while.

To get RPi2 connected to LAN, I'm following https://www.electronicshub.org/setup-wifi-raspberry-pi-2-using-usb-dongle/ and getting Tenda W311MI USB Adapter w/o thinking much.

• ospi v1.5 recommends Raspbian image.
