Ubuntu -> AutoCAD conversion

Now that I'm certified to use ShopBot and booked the tool for 2 hrs late this week, make a 3D model.

[ ] Create 3D model. Software available on Ubuntu is highly preferred. Blender or FreeCAD. Considering integration with other tools, it might be a good opportunity to familiarize with Blender.
[ ] Buy a material.

Autodesk Fusion 360 importable file type:

Blender 2.7.6 exportable file type by default: .3ds, .fbx, .ply, .obj, .x3d, .stl

Ref on blender.stackexchange.com. Maybe too difficult to convert from blender..
