Xfinity: Recorded content gets deleted too soon #916

I have many more contents than I (and/or family members) can consume in a timely manner before their cloud storage gets full and starts deleting.

I want to keep the contents data.

I was able to download a saved content onto my Xfinity Streaming app on Android following https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-xfinity-tv-app-download-a-program. This over an hour content measures 1.4 GB. However,

Q. Can I download the same DVR recording to multiple devices? A. Once a recording has been downloaded to a device, that recording has been "checked-out." Only that device can view/play back that recording. You must "return" the recording to your DVR library to access it on your TV and other devices.

Multiple ppl say the content can be downloaded AND transfered to non Xfinity device i.e. DVR lol https://www.quora.com/Can-you-transfer-Comcast-DVR-recordings-to-a-flash-drive I'm not sure if I want to try out that direction just yet.
