4 years ago matplotlib 3.1.1 raises the error:
NotImplementedError: It is not currently possible to manually set the aspect on 3D axeswhen plotting in 3D. Closing this and waiting for a future version of matplotlib, or alternative package is used for 3D (such as mayavi).
This PR pins matplotlib to the latest release 3.1.1.
