Removing pinned sorted nearest #335

As mentioned here the issue with sorted-nearest installation has been resolved. Although the last set of tests did not pass, I have checked all the models here. Its not possible to check so many changed models using test_new_models sequentially due to the stringent 1 hour time limit imposed by circleci.

protobuf>3.20 continues to be a problem. So a simple revert of #328 was not possible.

Using admin priviledge to merge due to the reason mentioned above.
