What server is recommended for this plugin?

What is the server load like?

For example, is nginx a good choice or is there extra modules needed on the 
server end that would be an absolute must.

Any server providing http server push or websocket can be used, so there is no 
recommended one. jQuery Stream is a pure client-side library like ajax module 
of the jQuery.

I'm not sure, but nginx with nhpm (nginx_http_push_module) maybe will be enough.

Please for that kind of questions use the user groups, it would be much more 
helpful to you.
