fonts.properties not properly installed (SBLGNT Greek font not installed) #120

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download SBLGNT
2. Open SBLGNT; accented Greek characters missing

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'd expect that after SBLGNT is downloaded, SBL_grk.ttf is automatically
downloaded and installed so that I can view accented Greek characters.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
And Bible 1.6.0 (installed from Google Play store)
Android 4.1.1 (CM10 ROM on Kindle Fire)

Please provide any additional information below.
I've worked around this problem by manually downloading and copying SBL_grk.ttf
into the appropriate fonts directory, and creating a fonts.properties file in
that directory too. I don't know why fonts.properties wasn't there to begin
with; I do see a brief notification message saying "Downloading
fonts.properties font definitions" if I hit Refresh from the Download Documents
menu, but hadn't been able to find it in my file system, so I created it myself.

Manual override with your own fonts.properties file should be done in the
folder described in FontFramework.

NB. You have to create the jsword/fonts folder if it doesn't already exist.

I'm trying to use a custom font for the OSMHB hebrew module. I'm using
And-Bible 1.9 on android 4.1.2. I created a jsword/fonts folder, I added
SBL_Hbrw.ttf to this folder and a fonts.properties file containing a single
line: OSMHB=SBL_Hbrw.ttf. I tried also with he=SBL_Hbrw.ttf. I restarted
And-Bible but it continues to use the ugly sans serif font.

What am I doing wrong?
