Poor package quality #22

Some issues with the package, not related to performance of the framework
itself:

* Unnecessary, OS X-specific files, including .DS_Store and _MACOSX. These
are a major nuisance, even if it is just an aesthetic one. These can be
avoided when using tar-gz, StuffIt, probably other tools as well. This may
also help http://www.zeroonetwenty.com/blueharvest/

* The grid.png file contains some unnecessary Fireworks data, that makes it
ten times too big (This is reported by Photoshop when opening the file.
Saving the file in Photoshop to remove the data reduces it from 48KB to 2.7KB)

I re-saved and checked in a new copy of grid.png.  Now it is 2839 bytes.
