"can't connect to webserver" registration error for new pbxes account

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. on new sipdroid install, try to create new PBXes account. it fails to 
communicate with webserver, account creation fails. therefore all settings on 
PBXes aren't configured. Occurs on 3g, 4g, and wifi.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would imagine a new PBXes account with some google voice configuration. 
Instead, no account. 

What version of the product are you using? On what device/operating system?
2.4 on a nexus s 4g running cyanogenmod.

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?
no SIP server, no account creation on PBXes

Which type of network are you using?
3g, 4g, wifi

Please provide any additional information below.

I am also experiencing this issue on Android 2.3.4, has been going on forabout 
a week. A months ago the feature worked on the exact same phone, rom, 
everything. The only thing that might have changed is an update to the actual 
sipdroid program or a change at the pbxes site.

Having same issue on Tmobile COmet, android 2.2...will not connect just 
continuous "can't connect to webserver" messages
