Probably the renaming patch is not needed or even appreciated. I hope this can give a starting point for supporting 3.8 though.

Sorry, your first commit doesn't fly. Can't rename fdk-aac-dab to fdk-aac. The two aren't binary compatible and will clash on a machine where both are installed.
