JupyterLab Kite stuck in "Kite: not running" #824

Problem

Hi. I recently tried to use Kite on JupyterLab but it is stuck in "Kite: not running" although I have started the Kite Engine, as shown below. Could you please help me on this issue so it can run well? Screenshot 2022-03-29 125348 Kite Not Running

Here I provide some information based on the instructions on this page

1. OS Windows 11 21H2

2. I open JupyterLab 3.3.2 in Microsoft Edge

3. Kite Version 1.2021.610.0 Installed via Anaconda

4. I have installed Kite and it's running well in Spyder

I have the exact same issue with chrome.

also kite works fine in sublime text 4.

no, I am guessing it is a kite's or kite-plugin's bug...

I read some other tickets. Kite seems not compatible yet with the newest version of JupyterLab. Many suggest downgrading JupyterLab.
