You are sure that this changes should go into the master and not into 2.x branch? The master branch is for changes in Kitodo.Production master branch and the 2.x branch for the development into Kitodo.Production 2.x. In Kitodo.Production master branch the usage of this library is internally marked as deprecated / to be replaced.

I don't really know. The changes are only relevant if you wish to deploy the content server separately, they wouldn't affect code used as dependency in other projects. Thus it is actually irrelevant to Kitodo.Production but useful if you wish to deploy the servlet in order to evaluate it or consult the user documentation in the interface. So I suppose, the changes should rather go inte the master.
