Assigning images to structure elements is difficult #4961

Problem

If a structure element is added by "Add element" in the right-click menu of the structure tree, a new windows opens with the opportunity to select the type of the structure element and to assign the images.

Practically, the images cannot be assigned, because the gallery is hidden by the new window and it is not possible to scroll the images to find the beginning or the end of the element.

Solution

If the structure element should be specified in this way, it is necessary that the window does not cover the gallery. For example, a third menu could be inserted in the middle frame besides "Metadata" and "Pagination". This menu is shown automatically, when a new structure element is added in the structure tree by "Add element".

If we can set the dialog to be non-modal, you could scroll in the background. I imagine JSF can do that.

But still it would be difficult to identify the correct images, when the window "New docstruct" is presented so prominently. It should also be possible to change the "Gallery" and "Image" mode.

Maybe it would be applicable, if the background is activated and the window "New docstruct" can be moved.

I think it should also be possible to allow the window to be dragged around and resized with the mouse in JSF.
