Is there a better config-format than YAML?

Pro YAML:

• human readable
• if understood extremely simple
• has references that can be re-used (cf. https://blog.daemonl.com/2016/02/yaml.html#extend-)

Con YAML:

• very prone to typos, e.g. not enough spaces, forgotten dash etc.
