While this was the whole point of GifSound2 over GifSound, in time GifSound2 will have various useful features to make it preferable to people who don't want either media source to wait for the other. There's no point unnecessarily bundling a feature not everyone will want.
I'd probably implement this via a local cookie so that users who didn't want syncing could opt out of it.
Considering this is a fancy extra feature I'll probably include it quite late in the roadmap. If a lot of people aren't keen on synced gifs/sounds then I'll maybe implement it sooner.
