Question about on/off of air-condition #78

Hi,

Sorry for open the issue, but I can't make my air-condition work well with the turn on and off. I learn twice hex values, on and off. I put on and off but don´t turn on when "turn on in the app of homekit". The only way this work I find is:

  1. Turn on the air condition.
  2. Turn off the air condition
  3. Then when I turn off the air condition it turn on. And for turn off the same way.

What I doing wrong?

Honestly.... I have no idea what is happening here. It might be a quirk with the model of AC you've got - the same code can be both off and on??

Could you capture the logs while you go through the steps above? We might be able to see what it's doing.

Maybe this error could ruin all the proccess? Above I showed the config of air-condition and I see the examples of this repo for set up it. I need to configure each temperature with pseudo-mode? Sorry the size of the next (gif/video) of the process I do on the phone. RPReplay_Final1601838000

what brand is your aircon? i think i have the solution for this. i had some issues like this.

The aircon is Philco (from Argentina) and the control is dg11j1-01. I don’t know

Ok,In my experience, I noticed that my aircon doesn't really have an on button, just when sending the temperature, it automatically sends the order to turn on. So, first try delete the code for "ON", and the other issue maybe can be solved if you add the same codes for temperatureXX for coolXX, so the file should look something like this:

I see that when you turn it on it sends the temperature code of 24, this is because you have the default temperature at 24. Can you delete the option autoCoolTemperature": 24 and "defaultCoolTemperature": 24 and test again please?

Forget about the above, I think I have the solution. Try this first:

change "turnOnWhenOff": false, to true. I think this is why dont send the code for on before send the temperature code.

If that doesnt work. So try the solution in the previous comment.

This error suggests that it can't find your Broadlink device to send the code. I think this error is unrelated to the configuration changes.

I think you need set 

"turnOnWhenOff": true,

Because your aircon need and code for turn on before the temperature code. Try that again and send the logs please.

Try add again the "autoCoolTemperature": 24, to auto set 24 when you turn on.
