The link destination is closed even though it is not blocked #251

I can't open the link because it says about:blank#blocked. Firefox opens without problems. "Kiwi Browser next" will be about:blank#blocked. ・Pop-up blocking is disabled. ・All ads are set to be displayed. ・I'm not using any extensions.

This link is automatically closed because it looks like a popup advertisement (zoneid+distribution_id+network_zone_id).

What do you think should be the behavior in this case ? I wonder if perhaps we could only allow navigation from url bar to such "likely an advertisement" link ?

@nymbee16 how did you come to this link ? Was it by clicking on an advertisement?

I allow pop-ups. All ads are also displayed.

Log in to this site. (Membership registration is required) Click 1~2~3~4 referring to the image. Click on 3 to open the link. After this, kiwi will be "about:blank#blocked". 1 2 3

@KaKi87 @d3ward @Lartsch do you have any opinion on what should be the correct behaviour ? I'm not too sure on this one, there are some benefits to block such windows

@kiwibrowser If I understood correctly, this link/popup is blocked even with ad blocking / popup blocking disabled. Intuitively I'd say, having both of these disabled should allow for any contents to show / no contents blocked.

How come that some blocking still happens?

I'd suggest either changing the behavior so with this settings/setup nothing is blocked or adding a more granular configuration to further adjust the aggression of blocking, either on a per-site basis or as a global setting.

IMHO this schuld not Close the Tab, i clicked on the link and this issue was "gone" ...

・No there is still a problem. ・I have the same ad on another site, but the other site doesn't open the link for this ad either.

The link after clicking the button is a normal site with no problems. This is a very important site to pre-register for games. The old Kiwi browser was never blocked. Since becoming (Kiwi Browser Next), it has been blocked. All block-related settings are not blocked. If you are being blocked, we think there is a problem with (Kiwi Browser Next). The link destination is the important site I always use. Please correct it so that it will not be blocked.

@nymbee16 While it's great you report this behavior in a detailed way, this is software provided free and there is NO entitlement to have a bug fixed in any kind of time frame.

Since the dev already replied, he should be aware of your report. Fixing bugs takes time.

@Lartsch I know it's software provided free. But I am providing information in the search. I think it contributes to the Kiwi Browser even a little. I'm just reporting a bug and asking for a fix. @kiwibrowser I am suffering from the same symptoms. The reported period of these ads will soon be over. Try not to block it. These ads are not available due to blocking. Hurry up and fix it, I strongly request it.

They will be blocked. Why? Are you deliberately sabotaging this company?

Hello @kotaro366,

Japan has very different websites from the other part of the world (this is why Yahoo is very popular in Japan for example), and the ads look very different.

The people who prepare the adblock rules are usually people in the US or Germany and they are not familiar with Japanese websites.

Something I want to understand: You actually want the ads to not be blocked right ? to get the points ? or you are actually unhappy that the ads are displayed ?

Lartsch's comment is correct. I want to convey this. I really want to prevent ads from being blocked in order to earn points

Please guys, just chill and wait... Like, really... You can use another browser if it's so bad for you until it gets fixed. The dev is aware of this bug and asking a hundred times when it will be done changes nothing, it's just disrespectful.

@kiwibrowser I started noticing this behaviour on some German websites as well. I've attached two screenshots from the website of my university. The "Email" mailto-link on the bottom is most likely encrypted by some JavaScript which the adblocker interprets as an ad. On the second screenshot you can see that it got replaced with about:blank#blocked.

@Lartsch @kiwibrowser I use it because I like kiwi browser. Certainly it may be rude to the developers. I apologize for that. I am not familiar with the program. That's why I report when I discover a new advertising bug. I think that the method of fixing bugs may change because the advertisement is different. Therefore, you can only report in this way. I think it is translation issue, because Japanese is very polite language but translators are broken.

The old ad I'm reporting has expired and has disappeared from the site.

  2. Clicking does not open the link. It is blocked.

Take a look at my previously reported setup image. I am set to show all ads. I don't even use pop-up blockers. Why are links from these ads blocked? I would like to know the reason. @kiwibrowser We are waiting for a reply from the developer.

This is a new advertisement. This is not a pre-registration for the game. This will also be blocked. I have this ad on multiple sites.

1.Login 2.Search button click 3.Search by typing Mafia City 4.Click on the ad 5.Click the button 6.After this it is blocked and the link destination does not open
