Headline features: The app now supports high-fidelity reading of Zimit-based archives using the open-source ReplayWeb software in both the PWA and the Electron apps (also NWJS with some limitations). There is greatly improved fallback to legacy methods of reading Zimit archives (even in JQuery mode) for older browsers and frameworks. Additionally, the Electron app can now act as a localhost server (with configurable port), so that you can access the app fully offline (without needing to access the PWA server) from the browser of your choice. Note that this only serves the app's code, not ZIM archives. For that functionality, please use Kiwix Serve.
