Kiwix JS PWA is now at v3.2.4. This security-focused release adds a source verification dialogue when the user opens a ZIM for the first time in ServiceWorker mode. If the ZIM is untrusted, the user is advised to open it in Restricted mode (formerly known as JQuery mode), which disables active content. This procedure aims to raise awareness among users of the potential dangers in opening a malicious ZIM with active content from untrusted sources.
Known issue: you may need to restart the app twice after update for the internal code to update the Service Worker fully. The notice in Configuration will inform you if you still need to "load" the updated code.
