- is this from an individual? I see it's hosted at OVH. It's just so we know what to expect.
- A few tests showed download speeds relatively slow; significantly slower than our other mirrors.
- Given this one is in France and we already have our low priority mirror, we need to decide which one goes first. @kelson42 ?
- I am not clear how mb behaves exactly and can't tell under what circumstances will users be served by this mirror. We should find that out.
- If we don't end up serving much requests from it, http-only is going to be a pain. mb needs to periodically scan all the mirrors to know which files they have. It's very efficient with rsync because rsync returns a list of the files. With HTTP, it has to HEAD every single file. With such a full mirror, that's about 10K requests… every hour.
