It probably wouldn't be all that hard to check the contents to see if it has been posted before. Do we want to prevent reposts though? Maybe we can just offer a warning that it is a repost?

Yes, try this. As long as it's just a warning, not a banning. We'd need to provide some context to the poster though such as when the original was posted and how well it did.

There is some concern about efficiency though. We'd need to do this in a fast way. It's possible that this would only work for links?
