Hiding Status Bar also? #7

What about hiding the "status bar"  That's the bar at the bottom that shows
the line and column number, and "Smart Insert" and "Writable"

It's yet another useless waste of precious screen real estate.

Any clue how to hide that?
Maybe you could make your plugin do that too??

how come all other ide's make that option, only eclipse have no option for 
hiding status bar ...
