I can't think of a way without editing the .bst
file to match the style you need. Alternate option is to find a bibliography style that does this styling. Hack: you change @techreport
to @masterthesis
in your .bib
file, if you don't want to edit .bst
. This is not a good solution, because you are redefining the document type, which is bad!

(new to Latex, apologies for the simple question)
I am using the CUED template. In the references, I have noticed that MASTERTHESIS and TECHREPORT appear in a different format than the rest (title not in italic). Is it meant to be like this, according to a given referencing style?
How can I modify just this, without re-defining the whole bibliography style?
