Thanks, seems good.

What does the pak file contain? Is it the same as in the russian video? If it contains original csgo assets, it would be best if you removed it from the pull request and instead hosted it somewhere else with an external link. Adding CS:GO graphical assets to the repo would be a DMCA violation I believe.

I'm not able to verify anything, but I'll merge once you answer the DMCA question :)

No, it's different. This one replaces ambientreflectionboost, phongalbedoboost and rimlightalbedo with ignorez 1.

Thanks - great work! I'm guessing that this will be fixed quickly, but let's see. The sv_pure implementation is really something huh :D

By the way, I'm pretty sure you can replace this with vpk.toString().padStart(3, "0"). Doesn't matter though :)

Yeah. There used to be another hack very similar to this one (giving the same result), but it has been patched with https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2020/05/30068/ Note that it is patched only for matchmaking servers. If you connect to other servers (I guess faceit would work too but haven't checked yet) it still works. I can submit another PR.

The sv_pure implementation is really something huh :D

I knew there was a function to do this, but forgot the name and was too lazy to look it up in Google :P I don't think I've ever used that function at all xD

Not sure if I'm allowed to comment here, but as of now 12:11 15/08/2020 sv_pure_bypass 4 seems to be fixed. Stating "Pure server: client file does not match server. Mismatched file: platform_pak01.vpk" Note this happens on both matchmaking and casual, not with bots for some reason. Also, not sure about Faceit.

It still works for me and there wasn't any update. You might've not spammed the command fast enough. It will always work for bots since sv_pure 1 isn't enforced on offline servers.

I do spam it as soon as a match is found, don't get me wrong it still works, but only for a short time. I'm then kicked with the same message. So it works for around 30 seconds in casual, matchmaking and faceit, but I'm then kicked with the same error. I've now tried spamming mouseup and down at different times during the loading screen all resulting in the same 30 seconds of play then kick. I've also removed the files, did a integrity check and re-added them multiple times, but the result stays the same. I'm really not sure why. I've also tried it on different steam accounts, no change.

When I first found the exploit it worked throughout full matches in casual, matchmaking and faceit with no kicks or error messages. The day after that I've been struggling with this "file different from server".

Alright, seem to have found the problem. You need to bind mwheeldown sv_pure_listfiles everytime you launch the game, or rather set it in launch options.

Pure 5 is only for linux. Tried today on my smurf for fun but got kicked with error saying not correct file. Not sure if fixed or not?

You must've done something wrong. There's a video on how to do this and I can reproduce every time.

Well rip, I got banned from faceit recently for "cheating" or rather "abusing in-game bugs". I don't know how they caught on lol. It's not like I was making it obvious

  1. They detect whether the files change.
  2. They do screenshots.

I don't see any other "fixes".

I think they do screenshots because otherwise you'd get banned right away.

Yesterday I installed solus and steam to try it, but Solus CSGO was stuttering to about 3 fps so reverted back to windows.

Did troubleshoot the Linux issue but no joy
