Teasmade already replies with HTTP error code 418 (I'm a teapot).

I think you're thinking of the wrong RFC, this one is the TEA expansion to the protocol.

It adds types of "message/teapot" aimed at teapots and multi-beverage devices so your machine wouldn't have to error all the time.

oh, updated spec is it... interesting... feel free to write the code, right now my teasmade is out of action due to house works and things going on, hopefully will be back in action around August time.

Also the teasmade makes awful tea due to the element being copper plated so my motivation for this is somewhat limited. I am planning on replacing the arduino-wifi shield with an ESP8266 as they require much less faffing on to get working properly and have stronger signal than the arduino wifi shield (which btw is a complete waste of money).
