Themes not working correctly. #237

I have tusk 0.23.0 (x64) installed on Debian 8 (mate desktop) and Debian 10 (cinnamon desktop) and they behave the same way. While in Beta Editor, nothing happens at all when trying to change themes. But if I change to Classic Editor and then go to View / Toggle Theme and then try any of the themes, the only thing that changes is the color of the scroll bar but the white background remains and does not show the black background like it shows on the Github website. I'd really like the black background work as my eyes are sensitive to light and try to always use apps that have a dark mode. Please see there is a fix. Thank you!

I opened an issue 6 weeks ago and the developer has yet to respond. Unfortunately I'm beginning to think the project has been abandoned. Hopefully someone will fork it and take over soon. In the meantime, someone posted a temporary fix in the other thread. It's not persistent over restarts but it's something.

Is there any update of this issue? Installed today Tusk 0.23.0 in Ubuntu 20.04 and the bug persists.
