I just wanted to mention, that path to gitlist line in htaccess file is super confusing. It is not a path to the installation, it is a route, typically just "/". It is obvious now, but it took me one day to figure it out. :) A little comment explaining that would be super helpful.
Thank You for porting Gitlist to PHP 8.x, I like it a lot, but had didn't use it as much as I would want lately.
