Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In the new 2.6 release, multiple passage editors "stack" up to five deep, however the entire stack shares a collapsed/expanded state. That means that opening a new passage while the editor stack is collapsed, just adds a new collapsed tab, which must then be clicked to expand.
Similarly if you switch tabs when the stack is collapsed, it stays collapsed, so you must again do another click to see the tab you want
Describe the solution you'd like.
When opening a new editor when the editor stack is collapsed, expand it and put the new editor on top
When clicking a new tab on the collapsed editor stack, expand it and put the selected editor on top
