The rod defaults to search if there is no stored search target I believe? If so, having the re-highlight check if the original target still exists or not first would streamline the search process for the player.
Describe the solution you'd like
Search for target
highlight found target
repeat quick right click to re-highlight while moving / mining towards target
harvest target
quick right click checks for target(s) before highlighting and removes any targets no longer found
if no original targets exist, searches instead
When configured to find multiple targets, this would prevent getting confused about which targets you had already harvested and which you had not; it should only remove the highlight for the harvested ones and still re-highlight the rest of the original targets.
Rechecking previously found targets for existence shouldn't be as taxing as a full search either.
