maybe it is possible to update to the new material design.

Sorry, I am not going to track design changes on this page.

Material Theme is still built off of Material Design, there is no "new material design". If you have specific components that you would like to see, feel free to post them here. I am going to close this though, because I don't want to track design decisions on this page, it will be about feature requests.
