Hi, The package can now have up to 16 zones. I made that change some time ago now so you must have missed quite a few updates! It still works in the same way but (I'm sure don't have to remind you) make sure you have a fallback to your current version before updating!
In case you didn't know - I didn't until a few weeks ago - you can use the standard prefix of '.' (i.e. a full stop character) on any folder name in your packages folder and it will not be loaded by HA.
e.g.
\packages\.irrigation
Awesome! Will back up and load the current version. The current one have been running rock solid from day one - Thx for this awesome package!
Didn't know that - It is something to remember to quickly disable stuff during troubleshooting. Used to zipping the stuff and deleting the source folder.
I'm busy trying to get the new version up and running, from the installation instructions you refer to a file named _lovelace\view_gardenversion2.yaml, but it seems to not exist. I believe it has been renamed to _view_gardenirrigation.yaml
I'm getting an error that it cant find the file _view_gardenirrigation.yaml.
The folder named lovelace should be copied in its entirety into your config folder. If you already have a lovelace folder in your config folder then simply copy the folder lovelace\garden_irrigation and the file lovelace\view_garden_version2.yaml into it. This structure is not optional. There are a lot of references to absolute file locations so unless you edit the code to reflect changes you make, it will not work.
I made a copy of that file, and then renamed it to _view_gardenversion2.yaml and it seems to do the trick. Upgrade further went smoothly kept all the settings etc. The package seems to be more responsive loading too.
Again - Thank you for this awesome package!
PS: I have a few feature requests again - Can I add them to the issue list? :-)
Sorry! I have probably been a bit bad at checking the docs...
By all means add them. No promises though!! ;-)
Awesome! Thank you...
Hi,
Hope all is still well - I have been offline for a while and occupied other wise, but busy getting everything back up again. I see I'm a few versions/changes behind on this.
Just want to check if your package is still limited to 8 zones as I see the fork has not been updated in a long time.
Thx!
