My apologies for a petty report.

The libpgm-5.1.118 tar ball contains 'autom4te.cache' located in 
<install>/openpgm/pgm.

The autoconf environment is bootstrapped to generate a default configure script 
for platforms without sufficiently modern versions.  I simply tar up the final 
state.
