Hello everyone!

As discussed in our last WG meeting, we will be developing a Knative Community Handbook. This handbook will serve as a great introductory resource for anyone looking to get involved in the Knative Community.

Our main sources of information and inspiration for this handbook are:

I have drafted the following sections that could be included in our handbook. Please share your opinions on these and suggest any additional sections that you think should be included:

  1. How to Get Involved
  2. About Knative
  3. Where to Ask Questions
  4. Meet Kuack, the Knative Duck
  5. How to contribute
  6. Meeting Schedule
  7. Community Roles
  8. FAQs
  9. Project Overview
  10. Mentorship Programs

Note: These sections are not sorted by priority... they are just a consolidation of some ideas.

Looking forward to your feedback!

@prajjwalyd I'd like to add CODE OF CONDUCT Section too

The outlined sections are good for me.

Maybe we can have a priority of having the Meet Kuack, the Knative Duck section on top.

Here are some more resources we can check out:

The handbook will be mainly for new contributors who want to get started with Knative. It will be a central place where they can find everything they need before making their first contribution.

  1. How to Get Involved

  2. About Knative

  3. Where to Ask Questions

  4. Meet Kuack, the Knative Duck

    • ???
  5. How to Contribute

    • This is very similar to 'How to Get Involved,' so it can be ignored.
  6. Meeting Schedule

    • This can be merged with 'Where to Ask Questions.'
    • Edit (Sep 5, 2024): This has to be a separate section.
  7. Community Roles

  8. FAQs

  9. Project Overview

    • This can be added to the 'About Knative' section... which should cover an overview of different Knative projects.
  10. Mentorship Programs

    • We can provide a brief overview of GSoC and LFX programs, including details on how and when we participate in these, what we seek in candidates, and best practices for involvement.
  11. Code of Conduct
