This pull request addresses multiple issues and adds some features on top. Most of all it changes the architecture and makes the core clearer.

addresses #45 - if the keystroke is prefixed with different register that register is used instead.
addresses #49 - scratchpads are global (as before) and local (per connection) - any buffer can now be opened in the editor tile

The PR also introduces a list of breaking changes. The readme and architecture files need to be updated to reflect new functionality
