It would be nice if you got a notification (or a feed item) when a story you posted is added to a group by someone else.
I sometimes notice that other people have added my stories to various groups, but the only way I can notice that is by looking at the groups it's listed in and remembering which ones I added it to and which ones are new. It would be much faster and easier to notice if there was a notification when this happened.
Obviously, it's best to skip that notification when the author adds their own story to a group. Because of course they're already aware that they did that.
It could also be very useful for people (like me sometimes) who like to carefully curate which groups are listed with which story. If you get a notification that your story has been added to a group you'd rather it not be associated with, that tells you it's time to go and change the 'set featured' listing on the story to remove that group from the list.
(In particular, I hate having the "Stories on Goodreads" group listed on my stories, and I always remove it as soon as possible, but people still keep adding it to every single story I post. It would be nice to be notified when that happens so I can fix it immediately.)
It could also help authors discover new groups faster. Sometimes, people add my stories to a group that's highly relevant to me, and I end up joining that group and posting my stories there myself later. But, again, that can only happen if I notice that my story has been added to a new group, which isn't an easy thing to notice without a notification!
