Can we conclude this Github-repo is dead? #1002

The last change made to this repo dates back in 2020... Espressif for example has improved their embedded MQTT capabilities in ESP-IDF. Wouldn't it be much easier to make the embedded MQTT of Espressif work inside the Arduino IDE?

Espressif is known for bad code, I'd rather stick with this well-tested piece of Software. This library just works IMO.

@knolleary Is there a way that we can support you? currently I have the feeling this repository is dead, but there are a lot of great improvements in the PR. I can totally understand that family or other things are getting more important in live. Would it be possible to move this repository to somebody else that this code and all PR are not dead anymore?

Why moving and not just forking? Because github will create a internal link to the new owner and copy all open tickets and PR to the new repository.
