that date as patch version is strange / uncommon ... would be nicer/cleaner to have a normal 1.2.3 release ... I can open a PR if you'd accept that change ...

I think that might be related to the version of the bundled eTLD database, which otherwise you'd have no way to know how old / what version you were getting.
