My experience is that it does not work for network drive. The Context Menu app works for network drives so there is nothing fundamental preventing Service Station as well.
Hm. I guess I was mistaken and just assumed this to be the case then. Sucks, when I paid for this I considered it would work anywhere in the finder. Here's to hoping the Knurling implements this.
There haven't been any changes to the app in 2 years. 🤷♂️
Damn you're right. Just noticed. Has anyone tried contacting their twitter? Also no activity there but... maybe we can get a response? Just sent a message to it, I'll let you know if I hear back.
What a bummer. Such a recent and expensive app. Developer claims one of the benefits to the paid version is Supporting App Development but apparently that's no longer honoured.
I can only assume the dev has a good reason to not be here.
I can't assume anything. Can either be a good reason, a bad reason or anything in between, but without them saying anything all I know is that, for all their silence, they are still charging for a service they are not delivering on.
Look at Peter Kamb’s LinkedIn profile. He started a new job just over a year ago. May go some way to explain.
@proactivematter the app works.
Did you try the workarounds in other issues for network drives? https://github.com/knurling/ServiceStation/issues/39#issuecomment-629501314
@gingerbeardman I know the app works, just feel that it shouldn't advertise continued development as one of the benefits if the developer is MIA.
But yes! Full disk access does enable Service Station to access networked drives. Thank you!
Hey, I'm just wondering if I am doing something wrong or if this app just won't show any options in the case of networked drives. I thought I had tested this scenario a week or so ago but nothing is showing up now.
