Orcish Shaman-line Consistency #5

Open knyghtmare opened 3 months ago

This campaign has custom Orcish Shaman units BUT I saw some ones in TDG which might go to core: Should I use the orcish shaman-line from TDG here too? Or, update the current ones to updated available graphics?

Use all please. And update current to use updated available graphics. Idea in LoWR is to present some orcish ability differences between clans that can be used as inspiration for UMC and other mainline. In TDG it is reasonable to only have one line of shamans as they are mostly blackcrest affiliated, but we have many more clans here.

Okay, more TODO things then:

I was under the impression that there are very few orcish shamans around the time of TRoW (actually made a point of it in my campaign). Did that change?

Clan Blackcrest - an orcish clan specializing in magic and allied with saurians. Has an unusual number of shamans. Though not the largest clan in numbers, possibly the most powerful due to their alliances and magical prowess. Military might comes from their ability to bloodlust their troops. Clan color is black.

I suppose this clan in particular prefers Shamans

I do think that not many Shaman coming through the gates plays a big part in their following jevyan in the first place, and establishes why the orcs (who had been so successful in the past) wind up bitterly failing for a large part of the wesnoth timeline. I'm very in favor of Shaman actually completely dying out early into wesnoth and then being rediscovered and slowly building up until the point of sotbe when the orcs are actually a group capable of interacting between clans and governing a territory
