Turning on #16

This is the second time that I have had this problem. My reader won't turn on. The first time it happened, I charged it up and then everything worked. This time I have charged it but I still can't turn it on. Also, My computer won't recognize the reader so I can't use the Kobo programme to sync the reader.

I have had MANY times that the software for KOBO creates problems. I have been to Chapters in Mississauga (twice), Chapters in Kingston (3 times). Sometimes it would not open where I had left reading, other times errors in opening up. Calling Chapters or the local untrained staff is of minimal value. I have discovered I need to reset Kobo with a toothpick to get into the system. Even suggested the same to a stranger in MacDonald with the same trouble...It worked and she was happy. This last time, when collected to my laptop, the software decided to instal an update. After it showed that I had only read 1% whereas it should be 53%. Whoever is in charge of the software should resign!

Hello, Please take into account that this place (and the Github site in general) is not for end-user customer support of a product like the Kobo e-Readers.

This is rather a place for software developers to collaborate, contribute to other's projects, and indeed report bugs/suggest improvements also but on a very low and technical-savvy level.

As end-users, you should rather try to make your voice heard directly by contacting Kobo customer support (or by email: help@kobo.com).

ps: I'm in no way affiliated with Kobo, just a user myself

pps: the toothpick trick is to use it (or a similar thin thingy) in the little hole under the bottom edge of the device)
