Most of the time fails to connect to wifi #29

My wifi access point works fine with every devices (computers, Chumby, iPad, etc) but my Aura HD is only able to connect once every blue moon.

The message I got is "Erreur Impossible de se connecter à « Banquise ». Essayer un autre réseau s'il vous plaît." It is immediately followed by the message "Une erreur s'est produite… Veuillez réessayer."

The router does see the Aura HD connecting, but the tablet is not able to maintain the connection. Also, the Aura HD is able to connect to some other wifi access points.

My wifi is provided by a Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (05/17/11) std-nokaid-nohot-nostore.

Dear,

There are many problems associated with this type of access point. You better test with another brand of wi-fi router. Or check the configuration of it. See if there is any rule blocking access by MAC Address.

Regards

The problem is the same with different wifi access points, on different networks and different equipments. Only the Aura HD has this problem.

The routers' logs show that the Aura HD connects correctly (got an IP address, etc) but immediately drops the connection.

I don't know what is happening on the Aura HD's side, because it doesn't provide accessible logs.

I have the same access point here at University and test Aura HD here. No problem found but I will test on runnning mode with two Aura HD. There is a log on manager router. Can you send me a copy of that? To simulate the problem here.

THe wifi AP doesn't log connections, and there are no specific messages in the router's log about network problems. Is there a way to have some logs on the Aura HD ?

Also this problem is possibly related to WMM. When it is deactivated on the router, the Aura HD success to connect far more easily.

This is the same config screen of the device that I test here. I don't know what cause the problem, but WMM support is based QoS and multimedia. This don't influence on connection.

It works fine for me on my home router (custom DD-WRT-based firmware), but it fails to connect to my Nokia N9.

My Aura HD also strongly struggle to connect to an Alcatel wifi access point (unknown model) found in a public library. My phone can connect to it immediately, but not the Aura HD.

I'm unable to connect to my Linksys E3000 running Tomato firmware... I was able to connect to it fine about one hour ago, but then I restarted my device and am no longer able to connect. I did a factory reset and was unable to connect to the wifi to complete the setup and had to install the desktop application. Once it finished synchronizing, I confirmed that it had updated to the 3.3.0 version of the firmware, but I am still unable to connect to the access point.

I've found threads that suggested removing the password on the AP, I tried that. Some threads suggested putting the AP into G only mode, instead of mixed, tried that (and tried in B only mode)...

Any other ideas?
