right/left angle bracket problem in eink #51

Hello, Firstly, I am not so sure if this is the right place to share my issue. Mathml characters such as left/right angle brackets and their variants are not rendered in my eink kobo (kepub extension). I tried changing the font and issue persists. What could be the cause?
