Now that Google Fit came out, it's possible to export the data as with garmin connect?

guess it should be obvious by now that this google fit thing isn't just another platform, but really more the open kind of hub they promised.

a lot of apps and services already sync and store their data in there and also get data out of it. so with integrating just this one service you could supply a lot of others.. not sure about the current state of fit<>garmin, bit if they sync you could even do away with the flaky garmin connection..

would happily provide help - but can't code :(

I've already start it some time ago (with UI refactoring) but there are still a bug in the OAuth acknowledgment. It works sometimes but once oauth passed, you can sync to GG Fit anytime. There are a release available in alpha if you want to try it : https://play.google.com/apps/testing/org.kochka.android.weightlogger I'm currently lacking time to finish this but maybe in the next weeks.

great to hear there's hope to get the data into Fit one day.. and not having to buy some fancy new scale ;)

concerning beta/alpha: Your account isn't currently eligible for this app's testing program.

is there some place to register for this?

merci.. got it now.

is there any way to verify if it works and/or force reconnection to google fit? usually apps like these would ask for choice of account to connect to - but it didn't :(

It should ask for account. Sometimes it works.... sometimes not :) It's very difficult to debug this because once it ask, it will not ask again and it's mega shit to clear this cache... But once auth is done, data are updated without any issues.

question: if it's working the one direction - any chance to get it work the other direction as well? thing is: phone crashed, had to do a full wipe&reinstall, and of course didn't back up recently.. so it would be really cool if it was possible to sync back the data stored in google fit in such cases..
