Generally just does not work well on Vista #184

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Just follow the tutorial

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Running the tutorial on Windows Vista simply does not reproduce the same output 
as shown in the tutorial graphics. The TextView, EditBox and RadioButton 
widgets were too big for the linear layout box when using the size suggested by 
the tutorial.
After dropping widgets onto the screen there is no apparent way to delete them. 
Cut does not seem to work.
I'm sorry but there are just too many problems for me to take the time to list 
them all. This Betta really needs more in house testing before being released, 
it's more like a first cut alpha.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Sorry it didn't work for you.  The source is open, feel free to fix the 
problems that you see and send patches.
