Copy and Paste won't allow editing of each item

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Place a button on the page
2. Change it's properties
3. Copy and paste the button and now when you edit any one of them, all of them 
change

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I want to be able to edit each as their own after pasting. Can't change the Id 
for instance as they all get the same Id

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Rb17, Windows XP

Ok, this is now (finally) fixed.  Changes checked into SVN, will roll out with 
the next release.
