xbmc.gui Version 5.13.0 Problem #272

Open blueRay0 opened 5 years ago

blueRay0 commented 5 years ago

I try to install the „Titan BETA for Kodi Leia 3.8.4“ on Kodi 18.0 2019-01-28. I have received the following error message:

„Die Abhängigkeit auf xbmc.gui Version 5.13.0 konnte nicht aufgelöst werden.“ In english: The dependency on xbmc.gui version 5.13.0 could not be resolved.

Is my translation, i don‘t know the english error message.

I opened PR 271 for this issue. I have been personally using this changed version (one character, changes 5.13 to 5.14) for a couple weeks without issue, so feel free to zip up and use my branch until this is merged or improved upon.

I have this same issue. I tried manually adjusting it, but it wont let me install a new compiled zip then. I get an error message and i cant read the log because its cut off.

Hey guys

Are there perhaps any fixes for the xbmc.gui Dependency version 5.13.0 errors in general?

Hoping this thread might still be useful.

I'm also trying to install this and getting the same error. What file do I need to change 5.13 to 5.14 too?

johnlewisXO commented 4 years ago

Hey

You should be changing the version in core.gui or gui.core xml file.

Cheers

I'm following these instructions:

  1. You need to install - Marduks Repo from zip.
  2. Install "marcelveldts beta repository " (install from my repo in kodi) if you havent it already

I get the errors on step 2, where do I edit the core.gui and gui.core xml files?

johnlewisXO commented 4 years ago

Head to your program files folder or wherever your kodi installation folder is.

I.e

Program Files > Kodi > Add ons > xbmc.gui > addon.xml

I tired \SHIELD\internal\Android\data\org.xbmc.kodi\files.kodi\addons - but didn't see an xbmc.gui file there. Am I looking in the right place for an nvidia shield?

johnlewisXO commented 4 years ago

If I may ask

Are you using the Nvidia shield console? Or an android device to use kodi?

Nvidia Shield. I did put a file management app - I assume I need to copy addon.xml to my pc, edit it, then copy it back?
