i squashed commits to one to clean up a bit. also tried to implement your suggestions (exashare subtitles tested and working)

Good job. Let's resolve remaining issues, run the code through a beautifier and I'll merge it.

removed obsolete lines (probably leftovers from debugging) and merged into previous commit
